Benjamin is a member of the commercial team at Client Legal Solutions, working across commercial finance, company law, and leasing.
He graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Laws in 2024 and has since completed the requirements for a Master of Laws. His academic research covered the regulation of artificial intelligence, international relations, and the law of armed conflict, with a particular interest in emerging technology and its impact on the legal profession and society more broadly.
Before joining Client Legal Solutions, Benjamin worked as an independent software developer, building tools for election forecasting and cybersecurity, and consulted on the integration of artificial intelligence into professional services firms.
Originally from Christchurch, Benjamin has also worked as a caseworker at Community Law Canterbury, assisting clients across a broad range of legal issues. He moved to Nelson to join the firm and has enjoyed getting to know the local community and sampling the Tasman region’s many great wines.
Away from the office, Benjamin is a keen reader and a published author across several genres, writing under a pen name he will neither confirm nor deny.
