Max was lucky enough to grow up in the beautiful top of the South after his parents immigrated from Germany in 1988. They first settled in Kaiteriteri before moving to the end of the road in Mārahau, where Max again lives, now with his own family.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University, Max spent his time chasing summers, working within the charter boat industry in the fjords of Norway and the equally stunning Abel Tasman National Park.
COVID and kids rapidly altered plans and Max jumped at the opportunity to join Knapps Lawyers, firstly working out of the Nelson branch and transferring to Motueka in 2022.
As part of the Client Legal Solutions crew, Max will continue to serve the diverse legal needs of the local community with the support of the firm’s specialist teams in Nelson.
Max has a genuine passion for the beautiful Tasman district and is thrilled to be able to establish his career within his own community and at a firm that shares his commitment to the area and its people.
