Shelley is the legal brain behind our new Estates Department and is mightily well qualified to hold the post with over 25 years’ experience in Estate Administration, Wills and Elder Law related matters.

Not only does she have the legal knowledge of this area of law, but Shelley also possesses the right personality and caring manner to guide families through what can be a very difficult time for them.

Shelley is a born and bred southern girl landing her first legal job with an Invercargill firm in 1989. Since then, she has worked at two Nelson law firms including a senior position with the former Knapps’ estates team.

Shelley continues to love this area of law and has concluded after all this time that no two estates are ever the same!

Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time with her Husband & 2 teenage children, crafting and attending weekly quiz nights.

Joining Shelley in the team is also director, Gerard Praat, who specialises in estate litigation and Ian Turner, Consultant, whose talents lie in asset planning, complicated Wills and will be wearing the hat of technical guru on all matters estates.
